Will Palmer gunning for more podiums at the Nürburging

Will Palmer's quest for the Formula Renault Eurocup title resumes at the legendary Nürburgring circuit in Germany this weekend (15-16 July), as he aims to remain atop the standings.

Will has enjoyed a season to remember with R-ace GP thus far in 2017 with three race wins, including at his home Silverstone round and on Monaco Grand prix weekend, and an additional three podiums securing his position as points leader. Will's pace has been complemented by astounding consistency too this year, which has resulted in top-four finishes in every race, with the exception of one last time out in Hungary in which he was blighted by electrical issues.

As a result of his impressive form, Will leads the championship from his team-mate Robert Shwartzman by five points as the season reaches its halfway point.

This weekend marks the BRDC Superstar's debut competitive appearance at the famous venue in the Eifel Mountains, for so long the home of Grand Prix racing in Germany. The 3.2-mile former F1 mainstay will host two Formula Renault Eurocup races, with one each on Saturday and Sunday, with separate qualifying sessions for both.

This weekend comes amidst a busy July for Will, just two weeks following a triple-header at the Hungaroring, home of the Hungarian Grand Prix, and just one week before a two-race meeting at the Red Bull Ring, which recently hosted the Austrian Grand Prix.
