Palmer ends wet weekend with P6

Will Palmer ended his weekend at Thruxton with a satisfying sixth place, though was later demoted to seventh following a post race investigation into a first lap collision with Sennan Fielding on lap one.

The very wet race started under safety car, with Palmer getting a good restart, and challenging Sennan Fielding, but the collision which ensued when the two cars came together meant that Will lost two positions.

Palmer did come back at Nathan Harrison for fifth towards the end of the race, but could not get past him, finishing just three tenths behind him.

HHC teammate Charlie Robertson won the race from Niall Murray and Harry Woodhead.

"Today was a satisfying end to a very positive weekend; it was a shame we couldn't move up from sixth, as we had the pace to at the end of the race and given a few more laps I'm sure we could have been fourth. Overall, it has been very good to get some decent points following on from Donington."

Will is next in action at Oulton Park on 9th June for rounds seven and eight of the Ginetta Junior Championship.
