Pre-season testing continues at Paul Ricard this week

Will Palmer is ready for the second pre-season Formula Renault 2.0 test of the year which takes place on Friday and Saturday (4/5 March) at the Circuit Paul Ricard in France. The 19-year-old will once again get behind the wheel of his R-ACE GP machine as he continues his preparations ahead of 2016 campaigns in both the Eurocup and Northern European Cup championships.

He will be joined by a host of drivers competing in both series, including his team-mates Belgian Max Defourny and Frenchman Julien Falchero. The Paul Ricard circuit is a favoured testing ground for teams as the southern French climate usually ensures plenty of dry running and the track, with its ample run-off, enables drivers to push to the limit without fear of damaging their cars.

Will, who was recently announced as a BRDC SuperStar, got his first taste of his car in 2016 at the opening pre-season test of the year which was held at Motorland Aragon in Spain in late February. The Southwater racer impressed throughout and completed a combined 171 laps of running during the two day test, whilst regularly breaking into the top-10.

After the test, Will said: "It was great to start testing again after a long winter break. Over the two days I managed to settle back into the Formula Renault after having not driven it since the Silverstone round of Eurocup last year. It was good to get some experience of both wet and dry conditions and I'm now looking forward to getting some more mileage at Paul Ricard next week at the second official test."

You can follow all the action from Paul Ricard through updates on Will's official website.
